Are your students starting school next week and you are at school today on your Saturday decorating every nook and cranny of your classroom?

Are you spending hours trying to make your room Pinterest-worthy or Instagram Famous?

Take a step back! Yes, I know you want it to look inviting and homey for your students.

Well, I have a challenge for you!

What if you left some areas of your room or bulletin boards bare so that your students could become invested in their learning space this year?

What if you planned some activities during the first week or two of school where your students could put their personalities and brilliance on display in your classroom?

Wouldn’t that be a wonderful way for your students to see that you value their contributions to your classroom and that they are important.

Give them a chance to shine🤩🤩🤩

Just a thought as we start this new year!

Share this with a teacher who needs to hear this!
